The Maiden Factor

Sailing Yacht Maiden carried the first all-female crew to sail around the world in the 1989/90 Whitbread Round the World Race. Maiden was then sold at the end of the race. Sadly over time Maiden deteriorated and was eventually abandoned in the Seychelles. Tracy Edwards MBE, who skippered Maiden in the 1989/90 Whitbread Round the World Race, rediscovered Maiden in 2015. Tracy raised the funds to buy back her iconic yacht. HRH Princess Haya bint Al Hussein graciously funded the complete restoration, in honor of her father King Hussein of Jordan.

Maiden's New Mission

The Maiden Factor has been created with Maiden at its heart, to promote, fund raise for and facilitate the education of girls. To Support The Maiden Factor
